Catherine Corsini (born 18 May 1956; Dreux) is a French film director, screenwriter and actress. Her film "Replay" was entered into the 2001 Cannes Film Festival and her "The Divide" was entered into the 2021 Cannes Film Festival. "Homecoming" was selected to compete for the Palme d'Or at the 76th Cannes Film Festival (2023). Catherine Corsini deals in particular in her films with love relationships and sexuality: Lovers and Replay talk about homosexuality, a theme also present in the background in "The New Eve" (1999), which follows the sentimental oscillations of a young woman in perpetual hesitation. In 1987, she signed her first feature film, Poker, with Caroline Cellier. Later, in 1999, she returned to the big screen for her third opus with The New Eve, with Karin Viard in the main role. Her fourth film, Replay, is performed by Emmanuelle Béart and Pascale Bussières. This film is part of the official selection of the Cannes Film Festival 2001. She then shoots Ambitious, taken from her autobiography. In 2018, she transposes Christine Angot's novel Un amour impossible to cinema. The adaptation, with Virginie Efira in the main role, is nominated four times for the 2019 Césars. In 2021, she receives the Golden Out of the Artistic Coup d'éclat for her film The Divide.
